"Boot camp was excellent. Initially I was concerned that it would be mile long runs and hundreds of press ups but it wasn't and exercising outside, even in the odd snow flurry feels so much better than being in a gym.

Gavin is a very focused and positive trainer, he has a talent at making exercise feel enjoyable whilst at the same time he pushes you to stretch yourself beyond your own limits. He motivates and encourages the whole group which at 7.45am on a very cold morning wasn't always easy!! The exercises are varied and the pace changes constantly.

The benefits for me have been impressive - I certainly feel fitter and more full of energy than I did 4 weeks ago .the way I now train at the gym has shifted up a few gears and even better, my clothes are much looser !!

It was really worth committing to the 4 weeks and making the effort to go to all the sessions - a great experience."

"I signed up to boot camp wanting to give my workout routine a complete shake-up and see how they changed my fitness and toning. Over the 4 weeks Gavin constantly kept us on our toes, introducing new exercises every few days and mixing things up so we didn't get complacent (i.e. lazy!).

Gavin appreciated the fact we were all at different levels of fitness and the group worked really well to encourage each other to push boundaries and do our best. The team games were a lot of fun and helped the group to bond too. Ultimately, you can work at your own pace - but don't think Gavin (or the rest of the team) will let you wimp out and give up.

I really enjoyed boot camp and have seen my fitness levels improve. More pleasingly, however, has been the significant improvement in my toning. My upper arms are much firmer and my tummy and love handles are almost gone too! I'll definitely be taking some of the exercises we did back to the gym with me.

Don't let the time or venue of boot camp put you off either - early mornings aren't too bad and we were really lucky with the winter weather - clear blue skies and eye-watering temperatures made you feel good to be alive!"
